My plan for this film is to distribute it myself through streaming services such as Amazon and other word of mouth scenarios through festivals as well as small local theaters in Hollywood and all over Los Angeles. Its a very unconventional means to get an Independent Film out to the world, however, having faith in the Internet is so powerful Iām confident over time we will build an audience.
We were fortunate enough to have one of the best leading actors star on this project (Doug Burch), as we were also lucky to feature many talented actors who simply wanted to work, as they felt like the main character in my film, stuck and looking for an interesting project to sink their teeth into. The budget for my first Independent feature was more of a "Mariachi"-style budget of less than $10,000. We were lucky to have gotten away with what we shot, having utilized Hollywood Blvd and several distinguishable landmarks around Los Anggeles. We shot the film utilizing the Panasonic GH5 and shot most of the film using the Panasonic 18-35 Lumix lens, as well as older lenses from the 70s and 80s. It has an artistic, edgy appeal, giving it an old school 16mm vibe for today's market.
What's It All About?
DOUG is a film about an actor living in Hollywood, pursuing his dreams after years of struggling in the Hollywood Industry. He had minimal success here and there in low budget B movies until the early 90s when his life started to change. However in today's climate, he finds himself stuck and challenged by younger actors until he makes a deal with his own ego (a mysterious force named Balthazar), who has plans of his own, straightening out Doug in his quest for fame and notoriety. This is a film about what it takes to keep your dreams alive. Its an underdog story about redemption, and how far one man will go to make his wildest dreams come true.
"Ready or not, this is the big time!!"

GOAL
My goal is to screen DOUG in as many festivals as I possibly can. DOUG is the perfect film for your festival because it holds up to the standard of Independent Filmmaking. We shot on a shoestring budget and managed to make a film that holds its own and drives a unique story using Hollywood as a backdrop. I am excited to embark on our Film Festival Journey and start with local theaters to help get my project out to the public.
Films that are Similar:

I am more than ready to take this exciting project to the next level! My team and I have worked ridiculously hard to make this film come to life and are so close to completing it, but we need some help getting it out into the world. We hope you will join us in our artistic endeavors.
